Apple Cider Vinegar For Hair
Dandruff occurs due to various reasons like infection, dryness, environmental pollutants, etc. It causes skin flakes and itching on the scalp. It can be easily treated with regular hair care at home. Treating the scalp using apple cider vinegar (ACV) is found to be an effective natural treatment method. It balances the pH of the scalp thereby inhibiting the growth of fungus and bacteria.
It is a natural cleanser and unclogs the pores. Take 2 teaspoons of ACV and add water in equal quantity. Add a few drops of tea tree oil to it. Apply this solution on the scalp and massage gently. After 15 minutes, wash the hair thoroughly. Do this at least twice a week to get rid of dandruff naturally.
Porosity is the ability of the hair to absorb and preserve the moisture. The acidity of apple cider vinegar can help in improving porosity by sealing cuticles of the hair. This aids in maintaining the moisture. It also removes scaly build up as well as any residues present in the hair shaft. It works as a tonic to promote blood circulation to scalp and hair follicles.
Apple cider vinegar can be used as a hair conditioner. It restores dull hair. Take some ACV, say about two tablespoons and mix it with one cup of water. After washing your hair with shampoo, spray this mixture on your hair. Wash your hair after 15 minutes. This is a good natural conditioner.
If you want to use your regular conditioner, you can rinse your hair with it, then apply the diluted ACV on your hair and then rinse it thoroughly. This helps in closing the cuticles and you can get a shining and glowing hair. It locks moisture, reduces frizziness and makes the hair silky soft.
