Hair forms a very important part of our overall personality and makes us look more attractive. Many people face the problem of hair loss and though most of the times it is a natural phenomena, it may also be the result of use of harmful chemicals over a prolonged period of time.
This may include use of harsh shampoos, hair products and even bleaching. Using excess amounts of bleach harms our hair and makes it brittle. It is important to stop the use of bleach to reduce hair fall and resort to certain remedies to strengthen the hair that is left.
Overbleaching Hair Loss Remedies
Getting A Haircut Done
The effects of over bleaching are generally quite severe and irreversible and you may need to cut your hair to curb the problem and also prevent further hair loss. It is advisable to cut at least one-sixth of your original hair length. Also get a regular hair cut done every 2 months so that your strong new hair can grow rapidly and replace the damaged hair.
Bleaching can make your hair lose most of its strength but some of the strength still remains in most cases. This strength can be saved with the help of using conditioning treatments. Take equal portions of a protein, silk serum and hydrating conditioner and mix really well.
After you have shampooed, take some of this conditioner mix and apply evenly on your hair without touching the scalp. Let it rest on your hair for at least 10 minutes and then rinse out. This should be done twice every week till your hair loss reduces and the hair gains back its lost strength.
Take Extra Care
When facing hair loss due to over bleaching, one of the best remedies is to take a lot of care of your hair in all ways. You should not comb such hair when wet as it will fall even more.
Always ensure that your hair is almost dry when you comb it. This may take time as over bleached hair dries up with difficulty. Never use a hair dryer to use your hair as it will result in more hair loss.
Use Of Mayonnaise
Mayonnaise is another effective remedy to stop hair loss due to over bleaching. Mayonnaise helps to get back the lost moisture in your hair and also provides strength to it.
You can apply a small cup of mayonnaise on your damp hair once a week. Start with the roots and gradually reach the tips. Let the mayonnaise rest on your hair for 30 minutes and rinse out.
Using olive oil will not work as a great remedy for hair loss due to excessive bleaching but also seal the cuticle and add moisture to your hair.
Olive oil contains Vitamin E and antioxidant properties which protects the hair and helps to recover from the damage. Use a good amount of oil and apply all over your hair. Let the oil remain on your hair for 2 hours after which you can shampoo and condition your hair.
You can also add a little bit of almond oil to olive oil and apply the mix of the two as almonds helps to provide strength to your hair.
